Position Summary: As a Moving to Work (MTW) Expansion Agency under the Landlord Incentives Cohort #3, this position reports to the Senior Asset Manager. The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the Maintenance Division of the Dothan Management Group (DMG). The Working Maintenance Foreman is responsible for completing work orders, tracking and monitoring facility repair, maintenance of systems and equipment, maintenance of buildings, grounds, request for service, and utility systems of Dothan Housing (DH) and DMG properties and communities. The incumbent also leads the warehouse, work order, and fleet management operations and is responsible for overseeing maintenance training, including all maintenance safety operations, reviewing and providing technical guidance on assignments, and supervising maintenance staff and the Assistant Maintenance Foreman.
Required Education/ Experience:
- High School Diploma or vocational/technical training equivalent in building construction or related field and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in building and grounds maintenance, including a minimum of five (5) years at a supervisory or management level.
- General Contractor License and construction project management preferred and certification in electrical, plumbing, carpentry work, or HVAC.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the DH and DMG plan.
