The Housing Authority of the County of Santa Cruz is seeking a Housing Programs Director.

The Housing Programs Director is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and managing all aspects of housing programs assigned to the Housing Programs Department, including but not limited to the Housing Choice Voucher (“HCV”) program, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, developing and implementing internal policies and procedures, modernizing and streamlining workflows, and providing written and verbal reports to the Board of Commissioners and community partners.

As part of the agency’s core executive team, the Director will be a collaborative, participative, entrepreneurial, and relationship-based manager who provides exceptional leadership to the organization, provides direct supervision to the Housing Programs Assistant Director and Housing Programs Supervisors, and general supervision to all other employees of the department.

The ideal candidate will be an active, engaged, and hands-on leader with strong computer skills, writing and presentation skills, and a background in administration and management of housing programs, with a focus on affordable housing and Housing Choice Vouchers.
