PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Director of Rental Assistance supports THA’s strategic and operational objectives by managing, supervising, planning and coordinating the Rental Assistance Department to provide superb service delivery to applicants and the general public. This position develops and implements the department’s strategic plans, budgets, and operational procedures to ensure optimum utilization of Section 8 program funding and to ensure the timely completion of eligibility processes and compliance with mandated requirements. This position will recommend changes to program policies to meet initiatives including the Moving to Work program and related initiatives for the homeless and special needs housing needs; and coordinate assigned activities with other departments and outside agencies.

The position also participates in the Executive Director’s cabinet and in that advisory capacity, will provide highly  responsible support to him or her in the governance of the agency.
