SHRA is looking for an exceptional, team-oriented Accounting Technician to perform technical and professional accounting functions in the analysis, interpretation, recording and reporting of the Agency's financial transactions. SHRA employees have the opportunity to perform meaningful and impactful work for an agency dedicated to providing affordable housing in the most impacted region of the nation.
Classification: Represented by AFSCME
Only up to 50 candidates will be invited to the written examination. Only up to 16 who pass the written examination will be invited to the oral exam. Both the written and the oral must be passed in order to be placed on the eligible list for this classification.
Education and Experience:
AA degree plus 2 years related experience preferred or 4 years related experience plus High School Diploma/GED
Minimum 2 years related experience in clerical accounting, accounting principles, data processing, and financial record keeping.
As a condition of employment with SHRA, this employee will be required to complete a COVID-19 vaccination recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (including for emergency use) and provide proof of vaccination to the Human Resources Department prior to employment.
