The Finance Manager performs highly responsible administrative and professional accounting work; supervises and provides professional and technical guidance to accounting staff; assists in the preparation of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report; researches and analyzes difficult and highly technical transactions; and maintains fiscal accountability for programs funded by grants and other methods. Incumbents exhibit a high level of expertise in terms of knowledge, skills and abilities.
Serves as the Point of Contact for Housing and Housing Choice Voucher related matters
Direct and monitor the preparation of audit schedules and analyzes at year-end including the Financial Data Schedule (FDS) by program.
Prepare and/or Review and submit reports to HUD, management and regulatory agencies
Review and apply new or revised laws, regulations, and accounting standards
Assist with the preparation of the cost allocation plan
Acquire subject-matter expertise and facilitate groups in the area of work assigned
