Under the direction of the Deputy Director, the IT Manager will manage, plan, direct or coordinate computer and information technology operations, ensuring efficient and effective computer-related activities by determining the technology needs of the agency and making hardware and software-related decisions to meet those needs for the Housing Authority of Salt Lake City (HASLC) and its non-profit subsidiaries.
Some Essential Functions
Collaborates with users, vendors, technicians, and managers to understand and assess computing and system needs and requirements. Leads development and implementation processes for the agency’s IT systems.
Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
Oversees backup, security, and user help systems.
Provides technical support to users.
Other related duties required.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Thorough understanding of computer and information system principles, programs, policies, activities, and procedures.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
Ability to explain technical problems and offer solutions to those without technological training.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize work.
Through understanding of IT and practical applications to support the agency goals.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Programming, or related field required with at least seven years of experience managing computer and information technology operations; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay is $86,000 to $115,000 annually.
