Census Outreach Coordinator
Part-Time, 32+ hours per week
The Housing Authority of the City and County of Denver ("DHA") provides quality and diverse housing options to more than 25,000 very low, low, and middle income individuals representing approximately 10,000 families in Denver. DHA’s mission is to serve the residents of Denver by developing, owning, and operating safe, decent and affordable housing in a manner that promotes thriving communities.
DHA is seeking a highly motivated self-starter who will design and implement a 2020 Census outreach and education program for residents of the Denver Housing Authority ("DHA") to increase the number of Census self-responders, including hard to count individuals. The position provides outreach and education in DHA communities. The person will supervise several Census Outreach Workers. Hours vary according to need.
Minimum Qualifications at the Time of Application:
Requires a four (4) year degree in social work, sociology, psychology, human services or related field
Three (3) years human services experience
One (1) year experience with low income and culturally diverse populations
One (1) year case management experience
Valid Colorado driver license, an acceptable driving record as outlined by DHA’s personnel policy.
A combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum educational requirement.
