HOUSING PROGRAM ANALYST II

The Housing Program Analyst II designs, develops, implements, and evaluates existing and proposed low-income housing, community and/or economic development programs, community development plans, and individual housing urban development funded program based government assistance.

The ideal candidate must be must be a self-starter, proactive, flexible, and supportive of change and cross training. We desire individuals who can take initiative, develop relationships, cross thread with other jurisdictions, and stays current in the industry.
Education and/or Experience
1. One (1) year of experience as a Housing Program Analyst I in the County of San Diego; OR
2. A bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency in business administration, public administration, urban studies/planning, or a closely related field, AND,
- Two (2) years of professional experience in planning and developing local housing, community development and/or economic development programs; OR,
- Two (2) years of relevant professional level administrative, research, or analytical experience which included analytical studies and analysis with justifications and recommendations.
Note: A master's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency in business administration, public administration, urban studies/planning, or a closely related field may substitute for up to one (1) year of the required experience.
Qualified applicants will be placed on a twelve (12) month employment list based on scores received during the evaluation of information contained in their employment and supplemental applications.
