The Family Self-Sufficiency program supports HUD’s goal of increasing economic opportunity to HUD Assisted Families. The role of the FSS Program Coordinator is to connect participating families to public and private resources to increase their earned income and financial literacy, reduce or eliminate the need for welfare assistance and make progress towards economic independence and self-sufficiency. Additionally, FSS Program Coordinators build partnerships with service providers in the community and work with the Program Coordinating Committee (PCC) to ensure that FSS Program Participants are linked to the supportive services that they need to achieve self-sufficiency. Requires Bachelor’s degree with coursework in social sciences or related field and extensive experience in human services. Must be experienced in working with low-income families and have a minimum of 4 years of case management experience.
