Full Job Description: 

The Seattle Housing Authority (SHA) is a nationally recognized leader in developing and maintaining innovative, affordable housing communities. We are looking for an organized, detailed-orientated and proactive Executive Assistant to support the Director of Policy and Strategic Initiatives and the Director of Intergovernmental Relations, and to be a key contributor among both our teams.

About our teams:
 
SHA's Policy and Strategic Initiatives team supports the agency's mission by developing collaborative solutions, empowering data-driven decision-making and testing and evaluating strategies in partnership with other staff in the agency, community partners and the people we serve (mostly extremely low-income seniors, people with disabilities and families with children). The department is comprised of about a dozen staff, mostly self-proclaimed policy wonks and data geeks, with a strong commitment to SHA's  missionStrategic Plan and values, including race and social justice.
 
Intergovernmental Relations tracks local, state and federal policies that impact affordable housing and provides strategic guidance to SHA's leadership team on often fast moving legislative affairs. A key role is connecting to those in our community locally and nationally to be aware of emerging issues.  

 The two teams work closely and collaboratively on a number of issues.

You will provide complex administrative support for two department directors, including the handling of calendars, email/phone correspondence, agendas, expenses, travel itineraries, confidential matters and more. You also will be the fuel and glue that keeps our two teams moving. You will liaise and engage with SHA residents, staff and leadership as well as other local executives, government departments and community partners.

Minimum qualifications:

Three years of work experience as an administrative assistant or related work, plus a Bachelor's Degree in business, public administration, or a related field. Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying if the specific experience and education prerequisites are not explicitly met.
