Join the dynamic staff of the Durham Housing Authority as the organization continues its drive towards becoming a leader for affordable housing in Durham County by serving as a housing safety net, promoting individual self-sufficiency, leveraging core housing competency to support DHA's mission, managing real estate and facilitating and participating in mixed income housing development.
Responsible for performing a variety of semi-skilled and skilled structural, plumbing, and electrical building maintenance work at the Authority's properties. Work involves repair and replacement of items such as windows, doors, roofs, gutters, cabinets, walls, ceilings, toilets, faucets, water lines, electrical outlets, and light fixtures. May perform preventive maintenance tasks, as needed. Requires high school diploma or G.E.D. certification, ability to read and write in English and two years of building or apartment maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Environmental Protection Agency Refrigerant Universal Certification (preferred).
