The affordable housing provided by CLPHA's members is just one leg of the vital social supports low-income individuals and households receive to stabilize and, ideally, improve their lives. Education, health, employment and sustainability are the other essential legs of support.
In the past, these various support systems didn't necessarily work together very well. But CLPHA, together with its partners, is working to better align these systems so they can more effectively help those they serve. This is called "systems alignment" and much of CLPHA's present work is aimed at improving coordination in an effort of improving the lives of some of the nation's most vulnerable families and individuals.
