On September 6-7, approximately 100 attendees representing nearly 40 housing authorities from around the country and 25 private developers and finance professionals attended the workshop "Making a RAD Deal Work" in Chicago. Hosted by CLPHA, Enterprise, and NEF, the event featured two days of presentations from and dialogue with members of the financial industry interested in helping housing authorities put together RAD deals.Read More >

On September 7, PIH published PIH-2012-38, guidance to housing authorities seeking emergency capital needs funding for safety and security measures utilizing FY12 funds. The Department has allocated $3 million of the $20 million emergency capital needs set-aside provided by Congress within the Capital Fund appropriation specifically for emergency safety and security funding to address crime and drug-related activity.Read More >
