Changes at CLPHA

10/2/2012

CLPHA congratulates Research & Policy Analyst Theresa Finney Dumais on the recent birth of her daughter, Olive Pilar. Theresa is now on maternity leave, but we look forward to her return in January. In the meantime, her portfolio will be covered by CLPHA's newest staff member, Carmen Brick, who joined as a Research & Policy Analyst on September 24.

CLPHA is delighted to welcome Carmen, who previously provided housing policy research and analysis at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and at the Congressional Research Service. She also has held a position as a legislative staffer at the New York State Assembly. Carmen’s education includes a Master of Public Administration in Public Finance from the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy at SUNY Albany and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Mount Holyoke College, as well as a Master of Science in Education she earned as a New York City Teaching Fellow. Her research interests include economic development, affordable housing finance, and the Moving to Work Demonstration program.

The addition of Carmen to the CLPHA staff will enable us to delve more deeply into issues concerning our members, such as the greening of public housing, financing, and PBRA. Over the next few months, questions about RAD, PHAS, and other public housing matters can be directed to Carmen, who can be reached at cbrick@clpha.org or (202) 638-1300 x113.
