As part of the CY 2013 Operating Subsidy process, HUD will use PIC data to pre-populate the HUD form 52723 Section 2, Categorization of Unit Months.  In previous program years (CY 2011 and CY 2012), the form was pre-populated with editable unit months data.  However, unlike past years, the unit status/months fields in the CY 2013 HUD-52723 Section 2 forms will be locked and not editable by housing authorities.  Housing authorities were provided notification of this in the “Public Housing Operating Subsidy Calculation for Calendar Year 2012” Notice.

HUD released a preliminary Operating Fund PIC Unit Status Report with data through June 2012.  Housing authorities can check the accuracy of the data by visiting the report.
